How to forward mail to third-party mail service

To forward your mail for your domain to third-party mail servers, edit its resource entries.

Depending on the control panel, this may be done in different sections but using the same algorithm.

1. To edit records in cPanel, go to the “Zone Editor” section. Besides changes in the records, here you can also go to the “Email Routing” section and move the switch to the “Remote Mail Exchanger”.
2. To edit records in ISPmanager, go to Domain Names – Records.
3. To edit records in BrainyCP, go to WWW – DNS Editor – Edit.

To forward your mail to Gmail, delete existing MX records for the domain. Add the following 5 MX records:
Priority 1/Recipient ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Priority 5/Recipient ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Priority 5/Recipient ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Priority 10/Recipient ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Priority 10/Recipient ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Leave the default value for TTL. Don’t forget to add a domain and create mailboxes on the side of the selected mail service. Changes will take effect within one hour.
